The Purpose of Our Lake District

The North and South Twin Lakes District is dedicated to preserving the environmental health and recreational value of the Twin Lakes. By securing funds and involving lake property owners, we aim to ensure that everyone shares in the responsibilities of maintaining the quality of our lakes.

Our Focus:

  • Ensure that the lakes’ environmental issues are addressed effectively

  • Provide opportunities for property owners to be involved in maintaining these wonderful natural resources

  • Evaluate feasible aquatic plant management alternatives

  • Manage AIS effectively, following approved methods and strategies as outlined in our comprehensive Lake Management Plan

  • Seek to improve fish and shoreline habitat

  • Support all legal recreational uses of the lakes

  • Preserve native aquatic plants

  • Promote lake management education and raise awareness

  • Communicate Lake Management Plans to all owners

  • Assure that all lake property owners share the cost of Lake Management
